Hilda Rita Mugasia, known within the firm as Rita, is a Trainee Advocate at Thomas Louis Advocates focused on the intersection of technology, finance and law.
Rita attained her LL.B from the University of Nairobi and is a certified data privacy expert from Strathmore University’s Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (CIPIT). Her particular interest lies in blockchain’s impact on financial systems, the resilience of traditional finance and emerging frameworks around data as an asset and compute as currency.
She currently serves as Vice President of the Virtual Asset Association of Kenya, and at Thomas Louis Advocates she supports the firm’s data protection, virtual assets and emerging technology advisory work.
